Codecademy is looking for an engineer who is truly passionate about working in the browser and building web interfaces and tools for teaching the world how to code.

We want someone with mastery of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. You value efficient code and beautiful user experiences. We are most interested in your skills and personality, but a CS background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Help make product decisions
• Implement UI and UX features
• Build tools and frameworks to simplify development
• Prototype new or experimental features

Requirements

• Passion for rethinking online education
• Ability to work in areas outside of your usual comfort zone and get things done quickly
• Personal projects that show frontend engineering aptitude and product sense
• Demonstrated proficiency with HTML/CSS/Javascript in a production environment
• Experience with a MVC framework in a production environment
